The term cryotherapy covers a range of treatments, both general and topical. Their use is becoming increasingly popular, but it is worth remembering that they are not for everyone. At our hotel, our guests can take advantage of the benefits of cold temperature, going for a session in the Cryochamber. Before using this modern therapy, it is worth reading what exactly cryotherapy is? When is it worth using? Who should avoid it? The answers can be found in the text below.

Called a cold treatment. Cryotherapy is a procedure that involves exposing the entire human body to very low temperatures, up to -195°C.

The session is carried out in a special chamber controlled by a computer. During 2-3 minutes of treatment the temperature of the skin and subcutaneous tissues decreases in a controlled manner, which has a very beneficial therapeutic effect. As a result of the cooling stimulus, the body reacts in two ways. The first one - rapid contraction of blood vessels and reduction of blood flow. This allows for an anesthetic effect, additionally lowering tissue temperature and slowing down metabolism. The second stage - the changes lead to a defensive response, resulting in rapid vasodilation and blood supply increase. This improves the supply of tissues with oxygen, nutrients, and anti-inflammatory mediators.

What ailments can be treated in a cryochamber?
Thanks to its numerous properties, the cryochamber can be used to treat such diseases as:
  • Overload and post-traumatic lesions of muscles and joints,
  • Neurological disorders (multiple sclerosis, spastic paresis),
